Marquetry in Germany

Germany has a long history in the art and craft of marquetry. You only have to visit the Victoria and Albert museum in London to see some very fine examples of marquetry decorated furniture produced in Germany many hundreds of years ago.

Jūrgen Armbruster is a German marquetry artist who is keeping the old traditions alive and well and fully flourishing with his wonderful display of magnificent marquetry.

Scroll down the page and indulge yourself in some timeless marquetry which perfectly reflects the ancient traditions of the marquetry artists and craftsmen of old Germany.
