Our aims are to promote Marquetry within Harpenden surrounding areas and this is a continuing goal. We offer tuition to all: complete instruction to those who have never tried marquetry and explore more advanced techniques for the more experienced. In addition we run a series of workshops from time to time the notes of which are accessible from the Workshop tab on this webpage.

Everyone is welcome to come and visit us and ‘have a go’. However, please telephone or email beforehand in case we are not meeting that particular week. Also we will be able to give you appropriate access instructions and be on the look-out for you.

A few examples of some of the members' work are shown in the picture gallery below. Note that the miniatures are less than 12 square inches in face area.

Meeting Details Venue: The Meeting Room, Harpenden Trust Halls, 130a Southdown Road, AL5 1PU

Time: Every Wednesday morning at 10:00 to 12:00.

Access: Entrance to the halls is security controlled via a keypad. Access details available from the contact below. CCTV operates 24/7 for your safety and security.

Cost: There is no joining fee. Costs incurred by the hire of the hall vary slightly from time to time depending on group numbers. Generally this works out at about £8 a month.

Facilities: The Trust runs a Well Bean Community Cafe which is very popular with our members. As the meeting room is on the first floor, a lift is available by the car park entrance for those who find stairs a challenge.
