Please Note: Due to the current economic conditions, the Ipswich Marquetry Group
has reluctantly recently disbanded and the membership has reverted to Independents
status. The information on this page is now for historic reference purposes only.

The Ipswich Group has been established for many years and although it has had some ups and downs I’m pleased to say our group is once again progressing in the right direction, along with the productivity of our loyal and dedicated members who turn out some super work.

We total about 18 members at present with regular attendance at our meetings of about 12-14.

New members are always welcome, we can always squeeze in a few more.

You are most welcome to come along with no obligation for a couple of weeks, see what we get up to, talk with members and ‘have-a-go’ to see if marquetry is for you.

find it convenient to stick with these meeting dates, it gives members a break during the summer when most of them would rather be in the garden or are taking holidays.

Most of our evening meetings are working meetings where members bring along their current project and ‘do Marquetry’. We have various demonstrations during the year and try to arrange the odd excursion to local places of interest. The Group holds an annual intergroup competition/exhibition with the ‘Broadlands Group’ and we attend various Craft Shows/Fetes to promote our group and the ‘Art of Marquetry’
